Cameras
Any camera that exports equirectangular files works: Insta360 (X3, X4, ONE X2 …), GoPro Max & Fusion, Ricoh Theta, DJI, Qoocam and more. Smartphone panorama apps that export 2:1 images work too.
Formats
- Photos: JPG and PNG in equirectangular projection (2:1 aspect ratio, e.g. 5760×2880)
- Videos: MP4 (H.264) and WebM, monoscopic 360°, up to roughly 4K–5.7K depending on your hardware
Camera raw files (.insv / .lrv)
Proprietary raw formats need one export step first: open them in your vendor's software (e.g. Insta360 Studio) and export as MP4, then drop that file into the viewer. Full walkthrough in our 360° viewing guide.

Is the 360° viewer really free?
Yes — completely free, with no limit on the number of panoramas you can view.
Are my panoramas uploaded to a server?
Never. The viewer runs entirely in your browser. Your photos and videos are read directly from your device and are never transmitted anywhere.
Why does my panorama look distorted in normal image viewers?
360° cameras save the full sphere as a flat 2:1 "equirectangular" image — like a world map. A 360° viewer wraps it back onto a sphere so you can look around naturally.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. On phones and tablets you can swipe to look around or simply move your device.
Can I fix a tilted horizon?
Yes — the built-in horizon tool aligns pitch and roll automatically from a reference line, with sliders for fine-tuning.
